Jack is a cinematographer working predominantly in commercials and short form narrative. Commercial clients include Mastercard, Visa, Stella Artois and Primark among others. His narrative projects have been widely recognised; in particular Open Wide (2018) won several notable awards and Ungabarn (2020) received a Vimeo Staff Pick and was broadcast on Adult Swim and HBO Max in the US.
After graduating from the University of Westminster, where he specialised in cinematography, Jack went on to work as a camera assistant on films such as Cinderella (2015) and Spectre (2015). Jack worked as assistant to Tobias Schliessler ASC on Beauty and The Beast (2017). Through his work on this film Jack developed a lighting continuity system, which he adapted on a further six films including both Wonder Woman films with Mathew Jensen ASC and both The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018) and No Time to Die with Linus Sandgren FSF ASC. The system was developed to record the main unit lighting for revisiting scenes, second unit and more. This role gave Jack the opportunity to shoot splinter units on Beauty and The Beast (2017) and VFX units on No Time to Die.
